Prioritize your Sleep in 2018!

Congratulations……You’ve survived the Holidays!  Now that the stockings and trees are coming down it’s time to start focusing on the New Year and what we want to accomplish in the 2018!  Some people find New Year’s Resolutions annoying and ridiculous; however, I LOVE them.  I love to hear what kind of goals people are working towards, as I’m a “Self-Improvement Junkie” myself.

My question for all of you is what do you hope to accomplish in 2018?  According to StatisticBrain.com, the two most common resolutions are related to Losing Weight / Eating Healthy, and Life/Self Improvements. 

I understand that when you’re a hammer everything looks like a nail, but I really want to talk to you about why I would be tickled pink if you would put your sleep as a top priority for 2018.  Your body and mind can’t be as successful if you are exhausted and running on empty. When I’m not getting the proper rest that my body needs I’m short with my husband and kids, I can’t focus on my work, I have limited energy to work out, I make poor food choices, and the list goes on and on.  Before you focus on all of the other Self-Improvement goals think about your sleep.  Are you getting 7-9 hours of sleep each night?  Is it a struggle to get out of bed?  Are you a hot mess without caffeine? I want to see you all getting the highest quality of sleep possible so you can be the best possible version of yourself!
